Know Your Rebates: The Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme

| Solar Blog

The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme is a federal initiative whereby you may be able to claim small-scale technology certificates (‘STCs’) when you install an eligible renewable energy system—this can include solar systems, solar panels, solar inverters, solar heat pumps, and other similar products.

STCs allow you to save on the initial costs of installing an eligible renewable energy system.

The amount you can save is based on the STCs you can claim and a range of other elements that can affect the value of the STCs themselves. Importantly, STC value isn’t fixed and can change from one week to the next.
